Cycling Jersey
Peace Coffee has always loved bikes. Founded in 1996, the very first beans they roasted were delivered to customer by bicycle. In fact, almost half the beans Peace Coffee sells 20 years later are delivered by bike.
Several Peace Coffee jerseys had been created over the years for the Peace Coffee Racing team, but nothing had ever been produced for less competitive audiences. So we reached out to Twin Six – another MPLS-based company – to help us produce a jersey that would look as good at the cafe as it would in a race.
Challenge
Design a fashion-forward jersey that (a) introduces the Peace Coffee brand, (b) reflects the Twin Six design aesthetic, and (c) looks as good over denim as it does with lycra.
Process
Over 20 different design concepts were created as part of the design process. Twin Six lent their expertise to help us narrow and refine these options, pick a winner, and produce the final design.
Solution
The final design incorporates Peace Coffee colors and graphics in a simple, elegant way. Thin, horizontal stripes are set far apart on a field of black. The stripe colors are taken from the Peace Coffee logo, which is tucked into the back right pocket while yellow and blue birds provide key accents on the sleeve and chest. We also designed caps, bottles, socks, and custom coffee packaging to complete the ensemble.
Result
After extensive field testing, we are happy to report that the kits fit (and feel) as great as they look.
