Pop-Up Booth
Peace Coffee has been part of The Great Minnesota Get Together since for a long time. In past years, Peace Coffee would simply hang fabric banners and table covers over existing fixtures; but for the 2016 Minnesota State Fair, they wanted to do something more exceptional to celebrate their 20-year anniversary.
Challenge
Peace Coffee wanted to accomplish two goals: (1) create a custom booth for staff to serve coffee from and (2) create an attraction to help promote the brand on social media.
Process
Working on a short timeline and limited budget, we quickly resolved to address the challenges as simply as possible. Placing form after function, we (1) devised a simple booth concept to meet product service and display needs and (2) agreed that a photo cut-out would be a great way to engage visitors.
From a production standpoint, both items needed to set-up and tear-down easily by two people and had to fit inside a minivan. So we created simple diagrams for each solution and sent them off to a short-list of production houses as part of an RFP.
Last but not least, to maximize the Minnesota appeal, we reached out to Adam Turman and asked about licensing a modified version of his ‘Paul and Babe Cheers’ artwork for use on the photo display.
Solution
Working with Art-Tech Productions and Adam Turman, we refined the diagrams, finalized the design, prepared the artwork, and send everything off to production.
Result
The result was amazing! Everything worked as planned, the visitor response was better than Peace Coffee hoped for, and the displays can be reused (and easily updated) for many years to come!
